Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic leader to join our team as Senior Tax Manager. This role is critical in managing the tax function at the group level, ensuring full compliance with applicable tax laws while supporting long-term financial goals and corporate growth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for formulating and implementing effective tax planning strategies to minimize tax exposure across the group. They will lead and manage end-to-end tax operations, including direct and indirect taxes, across all group entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement effective tax planning strategies to minimize tax exposure across the group.
  • Lead and manage end-to-end tax operations, including direct and indirect taxes, across all group entities.
  • Ensure timely, accurate preparation and filing of tax returns (income tax, sales tax, withholding tax, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with local, federal, and international tax regulations.
  • Coordinate with external consultants, tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Manage tax assessments, audits, appeals, and litigation matters independently.
  • Monitor evolving tax laws and evaluate their implications on the business.
  • Provide expert tax guidance on business transactions including mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments including finance, legal, and operations.
  • Mentor and lead the in-house taxation team, fostering a high-performance culture.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Education: Master's degree / ACA / ACCA / ICMA / LLM (Taxation) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of relevant taxation experience, with 3–5 years in a senior/group-level role within a large corporate or multinational organization.
  • Deep understanding of both Pakistani and International Tax Laws and frameworks.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven track record of handling high-stake tax matters, audits, and compliance independently.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and tax software is essential.
