The role of an IT Head encompasses leading and managing technology-related projects, providing strategic guidance on fleet management systems, analyzing developments, and prioritizing opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise with the management team to provide strategic direction on fleet management systems technology, identifying areas for development and ensuring a proactive approach to company goals.
  • Accountable for delivering all technology-related projects, including new software developments, network structures, and ongoing enhancements.
  • Support the organization as a senior member of the department.
  • Maintain a strategic approach to technology use, embracing innovation and best practices in fleet management systems.
  • Make informed decisions on short- and long-term technology uses within the development/product roadmap, consulting with senior management.
  • Lead and manage the technical team with clear processes and structures.
  • Evaluate and ensure security across all technical systems and software used.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and optimize returns.

Key qualifications include significant experience in managing IT projects from inception to delivery, exceptional hands-on experience with networks, software development, and systems management, and knowledge of current technology for fleet management information systems.

Job Specifications
  • Prior experience in IT project management, preferably in networks, web development, or systems management environments.
  • Strong technical expertise, including networking, software development, and systems management.
  • A broad understanding of current technologies relevant to fleet management information systems.
  • Demonstrated creativity, initiative, and drive.
  • Able to work proactively and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure hosting.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
  • Strong leadership abilities to direct and motivate teams.
