We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeping Director to join our team at Smart Accounting & Tax Services.

Job Overview:

  • Lead our accounting and bookkeeping team, ensuring accurate and timely financial services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients.
  • Handle project costing and financial reporting.
  • Undertake review role for work completed by others within the team.

Team Management:

  • Supervise and lead a team of bookkeepers/accountants in the accounts department.
  • Provide guidance, support, and task assignments to team members.
  • Plan and oversee the daily, weekly, and monthly workflow of the department.

Client Interaction:

  • Attend client meetings for onboarding, reporting, and to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns and providing financial insights.

Operational Excellence:

  • Monitor and ensure smooth operation of all bookkeeping activities.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for bookkeeping processes.

Requirements:

  • Preferably experience working with UAE clients.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and standards in the UAE.
  • Proven experience in managing a team of bookkeepers. Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, including cash flow management, project costing, Accounts Receivable/Payable, invoicing, and reconciliations.
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online and Zoho.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Qualifications:

  • CA finalist or ACCA affiliate.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience and must have an experience of 3 years in a supervisory role in the Accounting & Bookkeeping department.
