The Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) plays a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of infection control within a hospital environment. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional patient care by ensuring all medical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and ready for use.
Key Responsibilities- Pack, seal, and label instruments' packs and trays to maintain optimal sterility levels.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and monitor stock levels of essential supplies.
- Operate and monitor washing machines, dryers, sterilizers, and other machinery used in the CSSD.
- Assist in quality control tests required for sterilization and report any malfunctions or issues promptly.
- Restock consumable supplies in storage areas from bulk stores as needed.
- Dispatch appropriate formulae to units upon request.
- Collaborate with supervisors to manage workload and provide guidance to Health Care Assistants.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by supervisors as needed.
- Matriculation; Intermediate degree preferred.
- Diploma in CSSD or OT.
- At least one year of relevant experience from a reputable healthcare organization.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Understanding of Sterilization & Disinfection Service practices and techniques.
A comprehensive employment reference check will be conducted.
