Key Job Accountabilities

As a seasoned IT Systems Administrator, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the management and maintenance of clients' IT services and network installations.

  • Ensure the ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of a diverse range of server and network infrastructure.
  • Collaborate effectively with the team, demonstrating strong customer focus and ownership.
  • Develop and implement various projects in collaboration with others.
  • Establish and maintain technical documentation.
  • Contribute to the creation of a knowledge database.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with 3rd party vendors and managed service partners to deliver high availability and always-on services.
  • Manage incidents, service requests, and adhere to the change management process for Production Services teams.
  • Minimise downtime risk through continuous monitoring of key systems.
  • Make recommendations for system improvements, optimisations, and efficiencies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience:

  • Good cloud technology experience in platforms such as Azure and O365.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux.
  • Windows Server Administration expertise.
  • Familiarity with standard infrastructure technologies, including virtualisation, backup, storage, Active Directory, monitoring, certification authorities etc.
  • Understanding of standard networking concepts, including layer 3 routing protocols, routing protocols and IPSec/SSL VPN, network load balancing and load sharing, basic layer 2/layer 3 troubleshooting commands etc.
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs.
  • Experience in VoIP.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in application and server infrastructure administration.
  • Hypervisors and virtualisation technologies.
  • Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
  • Cloud platforms such as Azure.
