We are seeking an experienced and passionate educator to join our team as a teacher/tutor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and teaching engaging lessons that follow a rigorous curriculum.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver high-quality instruction that meets the needs of students, utilizing formal and informal assessment data to drive instruction and ensure student mastery of standards.
  • Create a warm and inclusive classroom environment, implementing restorative practices to foster a sense of community and respect among students.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with students and families, serving as a trusted advisor and advocate for student success.
  • Participate actively in grade-level meetings, collaborative planning, and professional development to stay current on best practices and share expertise with colleagues.
  • Take ownership of student academic progress, working proactively to overcome setbacks and provide individualized support as needed.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in education or a related field.
  • At least two years of teaching experience in a public or private school setting, preferably in the subject area to be taught.
  • The ability to create a dynamic and supportive learning environment where students feel challenged and engaged.
  • A passion for teaching and commitment to closing the achievement gap.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and administrators.
