Assistant Director - Governance, Risk Assessment & Compliance

The role of Assistant Director - Governance, Risk Assessment & Compliance is pivotal in ensuring the organization's regulatory compliance and risk mitigation strategies are effective. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the governance and risk management functions across the organization, developing and implementing robust security controls and measures to safeguard against potential threats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Risk Identification and Mitigation: Develop and implement effective governance frameworks to ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Compliance and Security Controls: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust security controls and measures.
Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cyber Security from a recognized institution, at least 3 years of experience in governance, risk management, and compliance roles, with a minimum of 2 years in senior leadership positions.
  • Certifications and Skills: Certification in ISO 27001 or relevant certifications preferred, excellent knowledge of information security principles, practices, and technologies, proficiency in risk assessment methodologies, including risk identification, analysis, and mitigation strategies.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Security Frameworks: In-depth understanding of security frameworks, including ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS Controls.
  • Incident Response: Experience with incident response cycles, incident report generation, and SOAR technology, ability to deploy EPP and EDR solutions on systems and devices.
