We are seeking a highly skilled professional with 10+ years of experience in Product Development, Quality Assurance, and Customer Services in the paints industry. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong relationship management abilities, and leadership qualities.

About This Role
  • To develop and tailor products to meet customer needs, helping the sales department achieve their targets.
  • To analyze production problems, provide prompt technical advice to assist the production department in avoiding substandard surplus material.
  • To conduct line trials on customers' premises to gain business through product approval, troubleshoot any line issues, and provide effective technical service and advice for smooth operations.
  • To develop and train staff to maximize effectiveness, ensuring they are well-informed, motivated, and trained in their roles.
  • To independently carry out product reformulations for value creation and quality improvement, guiding others to drive competitive advantage through superior recipe development and process innovation.
  • To provide technical service to customers and solve problems related to paint or working conditions, carefully avoiding any annoyance or loss of business.
  • The job holder must stay updated on the latest coatings technology used by AkzoNobel or competitors, enabling them to provide up-to-date guidance to the sales team.
  • To search and identify new materials, machines, technologies, and quality assurance techniques to remain competitive in the market.
  • Responsible for supporting and advising the production department in resolving technical issues to ensure high-quality standards and plant smooth operation.
Experience Required
  • A research background with at least 10 years of hands-on experience in Product Development, Quality Assurance, Process & Customer Services in the paints industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong relationship management abilities across various time zones, leadership, and organizational capabilities.
  • A tendency to analyze complaints raised by the industrial sales department, taking quick decisions to rectify problems and determining whether faults lie with the product or process.
  • A self-starter with a strong ability to conceptualize, develop, and implement new ideas while maintaining objectivity and focus in strategy development and implementation.
  • Knowledge in identifying, collecting, processing, analyzing, and cataloging data according to established protocol, procedures & standards as appropriate to specific research objectives.
  • Able to work effectively with colleagues and peers as a team player, assisting in problem-solving and colleague support.
