Job Title: Java Team Leader

We are seeking a skilled IT professional to lead our Java development team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Collaborate with the team to create assigned system functionality, adhering to development process and quality standards.
  • Team Assistance: Provide guidance and support to team members with daily tasks, including code cutting.
  • Progress Monitoring: Oversee and report on team members' progress.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Work with the team to agree on testing methodologies, including Junit and manual testing at unit level.
  • System Testing and Deployment: Ensure end-to-end system testing and deployment.
  • Quality Validation: Validate developers' deliverables against company quality metrics.
  • Project Reporting: Report progress and issues to the Project Manager in a timely and clear manner.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Resource Estimation: Estimate resources needed to achieve project goals.
  • Functional Point Analysis: Perform Functional Point analysis for project estimation.
  • Talent Acquisition: Identify and assess the need for additional staff and/or consultants.
  • Task Delegation: Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Dependency Management: Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Timeline Planning: Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Tracking Progress: Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Develop and deliver progress reports, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Status Reports: Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the team.
  • Change Management: Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Team Management: Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors.
