We have an exciting opportunity for you to drive technology innovation and growth. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

You are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's objectives. This role requires creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical expertise to design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative software solutions, design, develop, and troubleshoot technically with the ability to think beyond routine approaches.
  • Design and develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
  • Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical credentials, and their applicability within existing systems and information architecture.
  • Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java and Spring Boot.
  • Proficient in technical skill sets like Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, REST, and Cloud concepts.
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
  • Strong skills in System Design.
  • Hands-on experience in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
  • Practical experience with cloud-native architectures.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Knowledge of Cassandra, Kafka, and CI/CD processes.
