Visual Communication Specialist

A Visual Communication Specialist is responsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact.

  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Interpreting clients' business needs and developing concepts to meet their objectives;
    • Estimating time required to complete work and providing quotes;
    • Developing design briefs by gathering information and data through research;
    • Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts;
    • Presenting finalized ideas and concepts to clients or account managers;
    • Working with various media, including photography and computer-aided design (CAD);
    • Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work;
    • Contributing ideas and design artwork to overall brief;
    • Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches;
    • Working on layouts and artworking pages ready for print;
    • Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as InDesign, QuarkXPress, FreeHand, Illustrator, Photoshop, 3ds Max, Acrobat, Director, Dreamweaver, and Flash;
    • Collaborating with team members, including printers, copywriters, photographers, stylists, illustrators, other designers, account executives, web developers, and marketing specialists;

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Creative Problem-Solving: Ability to think creatively and develop innovative design solutions;
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey ideas to clients and team members;
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite, and ability to stay up-to-date with emerging technologies;
  • Time Management: Ability to estimate time required to complete work and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
