Job Title: International Import Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled International Import Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all aspects of international imports, including purchasing, logistics, and documentation.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the import process from procurement to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable and high-quality goods.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of imported goods into our operations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for international trade.
  • Analyze market trends and make informed decisions to optimize import strategies.
  • Prepare and manage import documents, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and customs declarations.
  • Monitor and control import costs, ensuring that they align with company budget and goals.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve import efficiency, reduce lead times, and enhance overall quality.
  • Provide training and support to junior staff members on import procedures and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in international trade, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing international imports, including purchasing, logistics, and documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards for international trade.
