Lead Android Developer Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Android developer to join our team and drive the creation of innovative mobile apps. As part of a dynamic environment that influences banking experiences worldwide, you'll have the opportunity to push your product knowledge to new heights.

Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for building robust, high-performance Android apps with exceptional user experiences, adhering to industry standards for security. Your agile team will maintain and extend the mobile components of the Backbase platform, utilizing it in compiling next-generation mobile apps.

As a Lead Android Developer, you will collaborate with the customer support team to create hotfixes, enhance the quality of the core product. Your tasks will include testing, reviewing code quality, checking other people's code, and creating documentation to future-proof our product.

Key Requirements

We require someone who:

  • Has developed at least three apps, with one available on Google Play;
  • Is excellent in reading code to quickly analyze it;
  • Will teach us their best practices in mobile development for Android;
  • Is proficient in Java programming;
  • Can deliver efficient solutions as we rapidly expand.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have experience in developing high-quality Android apps, excellent coding skills, and knowledge of Java. They should also be able to work effectively in an agile team and communicate clearly with colleagues.
