Job Title: Data Management Specialist

About the Role:
We're seeking a highly skilled Data Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable database solutions that meet the needs of our growing business.

Key Responsibilities:
Administration of PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch clusters throughout the development and production lifecycles
Drive Postgres partition and sharding strategies to support rapidly growing data volume
Monitor performance issues on all production and non-production databases, identifying performance bottlenecks and regressions before they impact customers
Assist development groups in optimizing SQL statements, designing databases for maximum performance, security, reliability, and availability
Manage backup, replication, and disaster recovery functions for the database environments
Participate in capacity planning as it relates to production databases
Develop and maintain processes for optimizing database security and standards
Automate repeated database tasks

Requirements:
4+ years experience as a PostgreSQL Database Administrator (working with PostgreSQL v16.0 and above)
In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL Architecture
Working knowledge of Amazon RDS (Postgres and Aurora)
Strong knowledge of Linux and shell scripting
Experience with database performance tuning, query optimization, and issue troubleshooting
Experience with managing and monitoring Redis and Elasticsearch clusters
Strong understanding of database management principles, data security, and backup/recovery procedures
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers and data engineers
Strong communication skills for documenting processes and instructing team members
