Research Assistant Position in Botany

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher to join our team as a research assistant in the Department of Botany.

The successful candidate will work on a project funded by the Higher Education Commission under Project Ref # 20-16423/NRPU/R&D/HEC/2021-2020 titled "Developing mung bean (Vigna radiata L.) genetic transformation system for herbicide tolerance targeting CP4-EPSPS gene".

About the Role:
  • To assist in conducting research in the field of botany with a focus on developing a genetic transformation system for herbicide tolerance in mung bean.
  • To apply advanced molecular biology techniques to identify and isolate genes responsible for herbicide tolerance.
  • To collaborate with other researchers to achieve project objectives.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Enrolled MS/MPhil scholar in the discipline of botany.
  • Relevant experience will be preferred.
What We Offer:
  • A monthly stipend of Rs. 16,000/- per month.
  • A contract duration of 10 months.
