The successful candidate will be responsible for translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code, designing, building, and maintaining high-performance, reusable, and reliable Java code, ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application, identifying and correcting bottlenecks and fixing bugs, helping maintain code quality, organisation, and automation, producing detailed specifications, contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle, following industry best practices, developing and deploying new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary.

Requirements

We are looking for an individual with a strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes, familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services, familiarity with Admob, Unity and Facebook Ads, strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices, experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning, ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as 'touch', familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers, knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for everyday tasks, ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements, familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications, familiarity with Socket programming will be a big plus, knowledge of Kotlin language would be a plus, a knack for benchmarking and optimisation, understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines, proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
