Data Collector Position Available at Community Health Sciences Department

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled data collector to join our team in the Department of Community Health Sciences. As a key member, you will be responsible for collecting and recording high-quality data from community-based settings.

The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting participant screening and recruitment, administering structured surveys and questionnaires, collecting, recording, and ensuring the accuracy of quantitative and qualitative data, transcribing qualitative interviews while maintaining participant confidentiality, organising and documenting study materials and field notes, coordinating with participants to schedule interviews and manage appointments, and ensuring strict adherence to research protocols and ethical standards during all data collection activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct participant screening and recruitment
  • Administer structured surveys and questionnaires
  • Collect, record, and ensure the accuracy of quantitative and qualitative data
  • Transcribe qualitative interviews while maintaining participant confidentiality
  • Organise and document study materials and field notes
  • Coordinate with participants to schedule interviews and manage appointments
  • Ensure strict adherence to research protocols and ethical standards during all data collection activities.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have intermediate education from a recognised board and at least one year of experience in community-based data collection. You should also have a strong understanding of field research protocols, including participant consent and ethical guidelines, proficiency in using digital tools and data entry platforms, ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with diverse community members, fluency in Sindhi is essential, strong written and verbal communication skills in English and local languages such as Urdu and Sindhi, detail-oriented with excellent organisational and time-management skills, self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within diverse teams, willingness to travel regularly to field sites and adapt to changing project needs.
