About the Role

The role of a Senior Application Security Engineer is to ensure that our software applications are secure, reliable, and meet the highest standards of quality. As part of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing software from a security perspective, identifying and resolving security issues, and providing guidance and workshops to developers on secure coding practices.

You will work closely with development teams, operations teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that our software applications are secure and meet the needs of our customers. Your input will help improve security in our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and ensure that application security requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze software from a security perspective and identify potential vulnerabilities.
  • Responsible for guiding and supporting developer teams in delivering and deploying secure banking solutions.
  • Perform security code reviews and suggest improvements to development teams.
  • Mentor new team members and act as the go-to person for security in your area.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who has a good understanding of application security and common application security vulnerabilities. You should have experience in frontend, backend, and mobile security domains, and be an expert in one of them. Additionally, you should have a good understanding of DevOps and cloud native technologies.

A successful track record in identifying, triaging, and resolving application security issues is essential. A background in development and a good understanding of the SDLC are also required. English language proficiency on a professional level is necessary.

Desirable Skills:

  • Implementing OWASP ASVS/M-ASVS and SKF.
  • Implementing SAST, SCA, IAST, and RASP tools in the SDLC.
  • Facilitating threat modeling sessions with development teams.
  • Pen testing web and mobile applications.
  • Training and guiding developers on application security concepts.
  • Relevant regulations such as GDPR and PCI-DSS.
