Senior Merchandiser - Knit Products Position

This role involves overseeing end-to-end product development for knit products, focusing on ensuring high-quality, competitively priced products delivered on time.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Undertake thorough market research to identify competitive pricing opportunities.
  • Work closely with suppliers to source materials and develop products meeting specified requirements.
  • Implement robust quality control measures throughout the production process.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with suppliers and internal teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Optimize production workflows to maintain profitability.
  • Nurture long-lasting relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Regularly inspect vendor factories to assess their inspection efficiency.
  • Ensure timely bookings and efficient cargo handling at the vendors' premises.
  • Verify that suppliers dispatch shipping documents following each shipment.
  • Prepare regular reports on project status for leadership.
  • Leads special projects, such as maintaining vendor compliance records.
  • Coordinate closely with suppliers and internal teams regarding production progress.
  • Develop and adhere to strict product category guidelines and facilitate communication across teams.
  • Arrange tasks related to prototyping, costing, production monitoring, fabric/material selection, and WIP status updates.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers based on senior manager directions.
  • Identify potential delivery delays and create corrective action plans to prevent late deliveries.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to address any production issues and propose viable alternatives.
  • Supervise production operations in assigned factories, facilitating quality audits and team meetings.
