High School English Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to teach high school English. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the English language, a deep understanding of literature, grammar, and writing instruction.

The teacher will be responsible for creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning, critical thinking, and a love for reading and writing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with educational standards.
  • Teach English literature, composition, grammar, and vocabulary to students in grades 9-12.
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages participation, creativity, and academic achievement.
  • Assess student progress regularly through assignments, tests, and class participation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Valid state teaching certification/license for secondary English.
  • Proven experience teaching high school English (minimum 2 years preferred).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of diverse literary texts and current pedagogical practices.
  • Ability to teach AP English Literature or AP Language (if applicable).
