Helper Role

The role of a Support Assistant involves performing a combination of cleaning and janitorial tasks, loading/offloading food trolleys, handling cafeteria counter service, patients' meal distribution, and other duties assigned by the supervisor or team lead.

• Key responsibilities include collecting and removing food waste and garbage from food processing/preparation areas, disposing of waste, and maintaining FSD cleaning standards.
• Cleaning and sanitizing washing sinks, preparation counters, kitchen/bakery equipment, pots, pans, utensils, exhaust hoods, etc., is also essential.
• Washing and cleaning used dishes, utensils, cafeterias, patient meal trays, lunch boxes, ensuring all clean items are stored in designated areas, is another critical task.
• Maintaining cleanliness in cafeterias, washing and cleaning tables, chairs, utensils, and other items as directed by the duty supervisor, is vital.
• Transporting bulk food and trolleys, assisting in arranging the cafeteria, serving meals at official events, and providing food replenishment/short order delivery during serving hours, as assigned by the supervisor/team lead.
• Handling/delivering cooked bulk food to cafeteria/service outlets/offices on campus/off-campus facility, including food transportation/physical setting/serving food to customers as directed by the supervisor.
• Preparing and serving hot and cold beverages, snacks, food, staff food at the cafeteria customer service counter/official catering, as per the supervisor/team leader's direction/instructions.
• Assisting in pre-processing raw foods such as washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables/fruits/cleaning/washing meat (all types), as directed by the duty cook/baker/duty supervisor/team leader.
• Performing all tasks assigned by the supervisor/head of department is also an essential responsibility.
