
Skills Training Specialist

This role involves designing and delivering impactful training programs for software engineers. As a Skills Training Specialist, you'll work closely with our team to enhance communication, collaboration, and leadership capabilities among technical professionals.
Main responsibilities:
- Create tailored soft skills training programs for software engineers.
- Assess training needs in collaboration with our Learning & Development team and tech leads.
- Foster a culture of effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving among engineers.
- Develop content that addresses the unique challenges faced by software engineers in communication and collaboration.
- Employ a range of instructional techniques, including workshops, role-plays, case studies, and scenario-based learning.
- Evaluate the success of training programs and implement continuous improvements based on feedback and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with tech trainers to integrate soft skills with technical training objectives.
- Support coaching and mentoring initiatives across the engineering teams.
Essential qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in HR, Psychology, Education, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in soft skills training within a corporate or tech-focused environment.
- Proven track record of training engineers or IT professionals is highly desirable. Excellent facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of challenges faced by software engineers in communication and collaboration.
- Certification in soft skills training, coaching, or instructional design is a plus.
Desirable qualities:
- Empathetic and approachable with a coaching mindset.
- Up-to-date knowledge of trends in corporate learning and behavioral development.
- Experience working with culturally diverse teams.
- Ability to measure behavioral impact and contribute to the growth of high-performing tech teams.
