Senior PHP Developer Job Description

About the Role

The Senior PHP Developer will be responsible for leading the technical team and driving the development of our software product offerings. This position involves managing and mentoring a team of developers, overseeing project timelines, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a technical leader and role model for the team
  • Own the technical direction and vision for our products
  • Design and develop scalable, secure, and efficient frontend and backend systems
  • Oversee the development of multiple service components from conception to deployment
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation
Requirements
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Proven experience in team management and mentorship
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in developing complex web applications using PHP
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, RDBMS, and version control systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, especially SCRUM/Kanban
  • Familiarity with JIRA and other task management tools
  • Knowledge of PHP CMS technologies like WordPress and Drupal
