Astronomer is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Infrastructure Solutions Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will work with our most strategic private-cloud customers to adopt and benefit from our offerings for deploying and managing Apache Airflow clusters and related infrastructure.

About this role:

As a Cloud Infrastructure Solutions Engineer, you will have responsibility for a small number of assigned accounts, maintaining a single-minded focus to ensure that some of our largest and most strategic customers are extracting the maximum value out of their investment in our technology.

You will assist our customers with installations and support of their technology stack for private-cloud installations, providing them with a seamless experience that is digitally and physically connected.

We are looking for someone with extensive hands-on Kubernetes experience, strong understanding of microservices/service-oriented architecture, expert knowledge and hands-on experience in Linux/Unix Operating Systems, and significant level of comfort interacting with assigned customers over various mediums.

We also value candidates who have strong oral and written communication skills, are empathetic, and lean towards giving those around them the benefit of the doubt.

Some bonus points if you have experience working with or in Apache-Airflow in a production-level environment, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, working on short and long-term customer-engagements, or working with related-market products such as Cloudera, Databricks, Snowflake, DBT, ETL Technologies, and analytics solutions.

The ideal candidate would be knowledgeable about Airflow and our products, staying up to date with the latest releases and features while focusing on those that have a greater impact on customers.
