Physics and Chemistry Educator

About this Role:

  • We seek a highly motivated Physics and Chemistry educator with a strong background in physics or chemistry to support our hybrid classes. This role is ideal for someone passionate about education, with strong communication skills, wanting to engage with students in a dynamic and collaborative setting.
  • The educator will provide direct instruction, guidance, and support to students without the presence of a physical teacher, lead practice sessions, provide feedback, and help manage the overall classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engagement and Student Support: Lead and engage with students without a physical teacher, ensuring they stay on track and motivated.

  • Practice Sessions: Conduct practice sessions and reinforce key concepts in Physics and Chemistry through interactive discussions and activities.

  • Grading & Feedback: Provide timely and constructive feedback on assignments, quizzes, and assessments to ensure students' academic growth.

  • Classroom Management: Organize and manage resources, including printing and preparing workshop materials, to ensure smooth sessions.

  • Student Communication: Act as a liaison between students, teachers, and the operational team to address queries, share updates, and support student progress.

  • Ad-hoc Tasks: Assist with various administrative tasks as required to support the delivery of learning content.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Professional Experience: At least 3 years of experience in teaching O-level Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.

    Academic Background: BSc in Physics or Chemistry, with a strong academic record (A*s in Physics and Chemistry).

  • Cambridge O-level/A-Level: A background in Cambridge O-Level or A-Level exams is highly preferred.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex topics clearly and engage students effectively, both in written and verbal formats.

    Availability: Must be available to work weekdays from 3-10pm.
