Job Description:

The Team Lead Computer Aided Engineering role is a key position responsible for driving the achievement of business targets in the Engineering department. This individual will ensure the implementation of all regulations, policies, and rules within the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and present project progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate resources for virtual assessments of designs and compare results to performance requirements.
  • Supervise multiple project teams with support from Senior Engineer CAE and designated team members.
  • Manage and allocate resources for projects, ensuring efficient use of technical capabilities.
  • Generate reports as required to document Quality Checking Processes.
  • Lead accident and incident investigations within the area of responsibility.
  • Possess specialist-level experience in multiple CAE software programs.
  • Provide technical guidance to multiple project teams.
  • Liaise and coordinate with internal and external clients during project execution.
  • Responsible for schedule preparation, budget estimation, pre-planning, and resource forecasting for engineering activities.
  • Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA), prototype testing, and product design optimization using CAE software.
  • Maintain records of activities and results in the CAE project database.
  • Maintain files and data according to established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with visual management standards.
  • Communicate with team members and customers on project-related matters.
  • Provide timely design guidance and support to teams to meet customer requirements.
  • Assist management in establishing and updating project plans and priorities.
  • Foster positive working relationships with all levels of the organization.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Project Management concepts, including scheduling jobs and estimating job times.
  • Advanced skills in handling multiple CAE software programs.
  • Able to lead projects from concept to completion.
  • Ability to manage concurrent projects.
  • In-depth understanding of engineering and design principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Able to utilize resources efficiently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and creative approach for generating new ideas.

Requirements:

  • Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.

Experience:

  • 03-04 years of relevant experience.
