Solar Design Engineer

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Solar Design Engineer to join our team in the design and development of commercial-scale solar arrays. The ideal candidate will have expertise in creating conceptual design layouts and electrical diagrams using AUTO CAD, PVsyst, and Helioscope. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed design packages for utility-scale solar PV systems, including plan and elevation drawings, schematics, and energy model calculations.
- Develop submission packages for grid integration and coordinate with utilities.
- Provide technical support to client development, engineering, procurement, construction, and O&M departments throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with various engineering disciplines, including civil, geotechnical, structural, and electrical.
- Support utility interconnection and permitting application processes.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent educational/certification background.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in Solar Design.
- Proficiency in AUTO CAD, PVsyst, Helios 3D/PVcase, and Helioscope software required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
