About the Role

QisstPay is a leading FinTech and BNPL solution focusing on providing shoppers with a better purchasing experience. In this role, you will be a key member of our software development team, driving new backend functionality.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Developer to join our team in Islamabad Phase 4 (Bahria Town). Our Software Engineers are responsible for designing and developing software to enhance the QisstPay platform, delivering value to customers, merchants, and internal users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bringing a 'get stuff done' attitude, being challenged, and solving problems
  • Building new systems, microservices, and web development using languages like JavaScript, Laravel, and more
  • Using open source technologies and working on global scale architectures
  • Practicing software engineering techniques, the craft of programming, and helping establish a strong engineering culture
  • Writing and deploying infrastructure on AWS
  • Fostering the use of agile techniques of software delivery
  • Working in cross-functional product teams responsible for the discovery, delivery, and validation of product features via microservices, APIs, and web apps
  • Collaborating with product managers, experience designers, and business stakeholders to build efficient and reliable feature implementations that delight our customers

Requirements:

  • A naturally curious and self-driven individual who can collaborate with other engineers
  • 4+ years of experience with PHP or Laravel
  • A product mindset and familiarity with Lean/MVP product practices
  • The skills and experience to influence change in alignment with technology and product vision to drive outcomes
  • Demonstrate start-up focus/mentality; be responsible for whole features
  • A strong track record of software engineering, preferably using Laravel
  • A backend developer comfortable working in an AWS environment
  • A good working knowledge of backend technologies including microservices and databases
  • Understanding of integration technologies: RESTful APIs, gRPC, JSON/XML Structured Logging, and Distributed Tracing
  • Experience with version control, preferably Git
  • Experienced working within an agile and outcome-focused environment
  • Capable of using your experience and strong verbal and written communication skills to continuously improve ways of working and our SDLC
  • Having exposure to Continuous Delivery will be highly regarded
