As a Technologist, you will play a crucial role in the laboratory by conducting chemical analysis of body fluids, including blood, urine, and CSF. This involves checking the accuracy of results, calibrating and operating all instruments in the Bio-chemistry Lab, running quality controls daily, reviewing Lj plot, running EQA, and interpreting results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting chemical analysis of body fluids, including blood, urine, and CSF
  • Checking the accuracy of results
  • Calibrating and operating all instruments in the Bio-chemistry Lab
  • Running quality controls daily
  • Reviewing Lj plot
  • Running EQA
  • Interpreting results
Additional Tasks
  • Informing abnormal results to respective doctors/consultants
  • Properly storing samples of abnormal results
  • FOLLOWING INFECTION CONTROL AND ISO INSTRUCTIONS
  • Instructing and training juniors/trainees
  • Issuing reports
  • Rejecting tests/samples if required based on SOP criteria
  • Repeating tests if necessary
  • Managing daily inventory consumption
Further Responsibilities
  • Maintaining stock of kits/consumables
  • Maintaining laboratory data records
  • Performing monthly maintenance of analyzers as per procedures
  • Keeping weekly maintenance logs
  • Coordinating with suppliers' biomedical department for analyzer issues
  • Preparing weekly/monthly indents
