About the Role

  1. ">
  2. Performing and managing superior care for patients in the assigned area by making appropriate assessments and diagnoses, providing appropriate management, and performing relatively complex procedures as permitted in an ethical manner and in accordance with defined protocols.">
  3. Providing education material to staff and students regarding ultrasound procedures and protocols.">
  4. Flowing daily rosters and managing leaves to ensure work does not affect patients.">
  5. Managing medical surgical supplies of ultrasound sections.">
  6. Ensuring proper functioning of ultrasound equipment.">
  7. Participating in audits related to ultrasound sections.">
  8. Continually working toward enhancing competencies in a clinical setting under supervision of faculty and staff.">
  9. Participating in educational activities, such as Grand Rounds and Journal Clubs.">
  10. Keeping aware of infection control practices and following them in the workplace.">

Requirements

">
  • ">
  • MBBS degree required.">
  • At least 10 years of post-MBBS experience in a large hospital/busy ultrasound section or 8+ years' experience if ARDMS certified, or 5+ years' experience if M.Phil./MS certified, or 4+ years' experience if MCPS/DMRD certified.">
  • Ability to understand issues from the patient's perspective.">
  • Ability to perform/supervise independently.">
  • Good knowledge of diagnostic radiology equipment.">
  • Knowledge of patient positioning, film processing, and general record-keeping.">
  • Conflict resolution.">
  • Ability to maintain continuous open and consistent communication with faculty, staff, patients, and their families.">
  • Ability to make decisions by weighing several factors and develop solutions that address the root cause of the problem and prevent recurrence.">
  • Ability to act quickly to address crisis situations drawing on appropriate resources.">
  • Ability to counsel patients and their families and adapt content, style, tone, and medium of communication to suit the target audience's language, cultural background, and level of understanding.">
  • Good written communication skills, especially with regard to patient care documentation.">
