Job Overview:

This role is responsible for designing and evolving a HIPAA-compliant automation platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of healthcare workflows, robust technical architecture principles, and expertise in HIPAA security and privacy rules.

The successful Solutions Architect will bridge the gap between complex business requirements and technical solutions, ensuring our platform is highly functional, scalable, secure, and compliant with all relevant healthcare regulations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Architectural Design & Strategy

Design end-to-end technical architectures for our healthcare automation platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability.

Define architectural patterns, principles, and standards that align with industry best practices and our strategic vision.

Select and evaluate appropriate technologies, frameworks, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) to meet business and technical requirements, with a strong emphasis on compliance.

  • HIPAA Compliance & Security

Serve as the primary architectural expert for HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules, ensuring all platform components and data flows are compliant.

Design and implement robust security controls, including data encryption (at rest and in transit), access controls (RBAC, MFA), audit logging, and incident response mechanisms.

Conduct regular security risk assessments and compliance audits, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing mitigation strategies.

Evaluate third-party integrations and Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) to ensure HIPAA adherence.

  • Requirement Analysis & Translation

Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and subject matter experts to gather, analyze, and translate complex healthcare business processes and compliance needs into detailed technical specifications and architectural designs.

Possess innovative skills to propose optimization solutions within a HIPAA-compliant framework.

  • Technical Leadership & Governance

Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional development teams throughout the entire SDLC.

Oversee the implementation of architectural designs, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to quality and security standards.

Create comprehensive architectural documentation, including diagrams, data flow diagrams (DFDs), and technical specifications.

Stay updated on the latest trends in healthcare technology, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and automation.

Evaluate emerging technologies for their potential to enhance our platform while maintaining compliance.
