Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Medical officer in Day Care Oncology. As part of their Outreach Program, this role will provide quality healthcare services to patients closer to where they live and work.

Program Overview

The program offers 24/7 healthcare services with a team of highly qualified doctors, nurses, technicians, and administrative staff. Our team is equipped to provide compassionate care, diagnosis, and treatment.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients before and during chemotherapy administration.
  • Enter chemotherapeutics according to consultants' advice.
  • Presume post-chemotherapy medications as required.
  • Perform outpatient diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under supervision.
  • Participate in outpatient clinics and patient management under supervision.
  • Ensure proper documentation of medical records.
  • Effectively communicate with patients and consultants.
  • Actively participate in journal clubs and continuous medical education.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Conduct initial evaluations, investigations, and management to maintain high clinical quality and service standards.
Requirements
  • Hold an MBBS degree and additional qualifications such as MCPS or FCPS-I.
  • Have at least two to three years of relevant experience.
  • Possess a valid license from the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Show capacity to work under pressure on different rotations/shifts.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Possess a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
