Job Title: Diagnostic Scientist, Clinical Laboratory

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Scientist to join our clinical laboratory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting and reporting laboratory test results, performing various procedures, and maintaining quality assurance systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret and report laboratory test results accurately and efficientlyPerform procedures such as bone marrow aspirates, trephine biopsies, FNAC, skin biopsies, and other interventional testsMaintain quality assurance systems, including internal QC specimens and external quality auditsSupervise and train technologists, trainee technologists, and medical officers in various tests and proceduresIdentify new test requirements and validate lab tests by coordinating with Section Heads

Requirements:

  • MBBS degree with valid PMDC license
  • FCPS in Pathology, preferably Hematology or Chemical Pathology
  • At least one year of experience following postgraduate training
  • Competence in laboratory procedures
  • Knowledge and confidence in interpretation of laboratory reports
  • Excellent teaching and interpersonal skills
