We are seeking a skilled developer specializing in the Django framework to handle large datasets.

Job Description:

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects and further develop your skills in web development and data management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Web Application Development: Develop and maintain web applications using the Django framework, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
  • Database Management: Design and implement optimized database schemas to manage large datasets, leveraging expertise in relational databases (MySQL).
  • API Development: Implement robust RESTful APIs using the Django REST framework, integrating data from various back-end services and databases.
  • Integration and Collaboration: Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements, utilizing experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis).
  • Code Quality and Maintenance: Write and maintain clean, reusable, and efficient code, adhering to team best practices and participating in code reviews.
  • Troubleshooting and System Upgrade: Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems, staying updated with the latest Python, Django, and big data technologies trends.
Required Skills:
  • Django Framework: Strong proficiency in the Django framework, including payment integrations (e.g. Stripe, PayPal).
  • Relational Databases: Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL), version control systems (Git), and cloud platforms (AWS).
  • Large Data Management: Experience working with large datasets, database optimization, and caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis).
  • NoSQL Databases and Elasticsearch: Knowledge of Elasticsearch or OpenSearch implementation, MongoDB or NoSQL databases, and advanced Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Test-Driven Development: Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks.
Education and Experience:
  • Candidate Requirements: BS degree in CS / SE / IT or similar technical field of study and at least 1 year of experience in software development.
Benefits and Work Hours:

Paid Time Off and standard working hours from 10AM to 7PM.
