This role has been designed as 'Onsite' with an expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE office. As a Software Engineering Manager at HPE, you will lead the innovation agenda and technology roadmap for all of HPE's hybrid cloud solutions.

Job Description:

  1. You will manage a diverse team of engineering professionals performing research, development, design and/or implementation of products, services, and solutions for HPE's portfolio.
  2. Responsible for creating and communicating technical strategy within the organization and/or across the function.
  3. You will provide direct and ongoing leadership for an team of individual contributors designing and developing new products, enhancements, and updates and managing projects for systems software.
  4. Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules for multiple ongoing projects and programs, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.
  5. Engages with program managers, marketing, supply chain, technical leaders, and executives to communicate program status, escalate issues, and guide and influence strategic decision-making.
  6. Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities.
  7. Provides overall people-care management for direct reports, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development.
  8. Recruit, onboard, and train new team members, ensuring that the team possesses the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  9. Collaborate closely with architects and stakeholders in the United States to define project requirements, objectives, and priorities.
  10. Implement and drive agile development methodologies, including Scrum, to improve team efficiency and product delivery.
  11. Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring that deadlines and quality standards are met.
  12. Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, facilitating their growth and development.
  13. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.

What you'll do:

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering or a related field. Typically, 10+ or more years of related work experience with background of Engineering Manager role, including 2+ or more years of people management experience.
