This position involves planning, overseeing, and monitoring procurement activities for goods, supplies, and equipment from international sources.

Responsibilities:
  • Implementing procurement policies and procedures, particularly for imports.
  • Executing procurement plans and schedules in coordination with relevant departments for international procurement.
  • Ensuring ordered goods meet specified requirements, coordinating with authorities for deviations or amendments.
  • Preparing tender announcements according to SSGCL and PPRA policies.
  • Evaluating bids and ensuring timely submission, preparing evaluation reports for further review.
  • Finalizing contracts with suppliers, negotiating terms, and overseeing purchase order issuance.
  • Collaborating with the Finance Department on foreign payments and Letters of Credit.
  • Tracking import data and utilizing digitization tools, generating reports for senior management.
  • Obtaining shipment statuses and coordinating clearance and delivery processes.
  • Maintaining supplier databases and import/vendor information.
  • Recording bills, Bid Bonds, and Performance Bonds.
  • Processing invoices and assisting in budget preparation with the Accounts Department.
  • Supporting audit processes by preparing documentation and responses to audit observations.
  • Following risk management frameworks, reporting key risks timely.
