Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to oversee all aspects of mechanical maintenance for production facilities, ensuring smooth operation and efficiency of equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive maintenance strategy focused on maximizing equipment uptime and minimizing operational disruptions.

  • Develop and implement an effective maintenance strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Lead and empower a team of maintenance engineers and technicians, providing mentorship, training, and motivation for their professional growth.
  • Manage resources efficiently to achieve departmental goals, including budget allocation and utilization.
  • Identify, champion, and implement continuous improvement initiatives within maintenance practices to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Oversee maintenance activities and ensure optimal functionality and performance of all equipment.
  • Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis of equipment failures to identify underlying issues and implement effective preventative measures.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • CMRP qualified will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 10-12 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating a team.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical maintenance principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities:Maintenance Strategy Development:
