Transform Patient Journeys

In this role, you will focus on transforming patient journeys by bringing the outside in and working with partners to uncover opportunities to improve outcomes for patients. As a Medical Affairs Partner, Ophthalmology, you will work from an Enterprise level, beyond boundaries and borders, to bring best possible outcomes to both the local health environment and globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster relationships with the medical/scientific community, communicate the value of science to investigators and institutions, and provide information on research developments.
  • Support relevant PDMA and Country Clinical Operations trial, Early Access Program and Compassionate Use program activities within their disease area/ecosystem.
  • Act as a trusted partner and primary point of contact between stakeholders and Roche; share stakeholder needs internally, prioritize and secure resources, and drive solutions that deliver outcomes faster.
  • Oversee the patient journey in its entirety and identify shared purpose among stakeholders to co-create solutions with stakeholders in the ecosystem.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have a robust understanding of medical affairs strategies and tactics, including clinical research. A deep understanding of patient journeys and related treatments in ophthalmology, enabling engagement at the specialist level, is also required.

Competencies:

  • System thinking and deep listening skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills including partnering with TAEs and organizations.
  • Experience in working efficiently and harmoniously in a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to understand and leverage digital means and tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • University degree or higher in life sciences or pharmacy. A medical degree is an advantage.
