The Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Gather and analyze amendments to laws, rules, and regulations; coordinate with departments to collect necessary documents; develop a considered legal view on referred issues and cases; assist in preparation of 'Vakalatnama' for appointment of legal counsel;
Additional Responsibilities: Coordinate with external counsel to initiate and follow up on law suits; review and develop appropriate drafts, briefs, replies, and comments; ensure proper representation at hearings and document proceedings;
Supporting Functions: Participate in preparation, vetting, publication, and service of legal notices; seek feedback and clarification from relevant departments; maintain effective working relationship with court officials;
Special Tasks: Represent the company's point of view before arbitrators or in discussions relating to settlement of disputes out of court; provide updates on ongoing cases to members of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC); generate periodic reports on potential legal and litigation risks;
