Punjabi Linguist

We are seeking a skilled Punjabi interpreter and translator to fill a vacancy in Rawalpindi/Islamabad.

The ideal candidate will possess fluent English and Punjabi language skills, with the ability to work as a telephone, video interpreter, and translator in various settings such as healthcare, legal, educational, immigration & refugee services etc.

• Interpret for people using legal, health and local government services
• Ensure effective communication by checking the non-English speakers understanding after each sentence
• Conduct conference, consecutive and public service interpreting
• Maintain confidentiality while dealing with sensitive information
• Liaise between the service user and service provider

• Fluent in English or another language
• BS/MS Degree in English Language, Literature, English Language Teaching (ELT) or TESOL
• Any other interpreting related qualification
• Must hold an IELTS certificate with an overall band score of 6.5, including a minimum of 6.0 in each individual subtest
• Sign and agree to a surety bond and Non-Disclosure Agreement

• Training and Development in Interpreting and Translation
• Hands-on experience working in live interpretation and translation settings across sectors
