Accounting Leadership Role

As a senior accounting professional, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting. Your expertise in management accounting principles will be essential in providing technical support and guidance to your team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify and allocate accounts payable and receivable to ensure accuracy.
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present results to stakeholders.
  • Analyze financial information to summarize our company's financial status.
  • Identify errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on Management Accounting principles.
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
  • Manage a team of accounting assistants and bookkeepers.
  • Participate in setting financial standards and forecasting processes.
  • Prepare financial statements and produce budgets according to schedule.
  • Assist with tax audits and returns.
  • Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
  • Plan, assign, and review staff work.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Commerce or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor, Chief or Senior Accountant.
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
  • Awareness of business trends.
  • Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
