Junior Web Developer Job Description

We are seeking a driven and detail-focused Junior Web Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid grasp of web technologies and a strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:

You will work closely with senior developers to contribute to building, updating, and maintaining responsive websites and web applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Web Development: Assist in designing, coding, and modifying websites from layout to function using modern web technologies.
  2. Design Implementation: Convert PSD/Figma designs into responsive, pixel-perfect web pages.
  3. Website Maintenance: Maintain and update existing websites (WordPress, custom CMS, etc.).
  4. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve bugs or coding issues.
  5. Optimization: Optimize web pages for performance, loading speed, and SEO.
  6. Compatibility Testing: Test websites across multiple browsers and devices for compatibility.
  7. Professional Growth: Learn and implement best practices in web development and clean coding standards.
Required Skills:
  1. HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript: Basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  2. Content Management Systems: Familiarity with WordPress or other content management systems.
  3. Responsive Frameworks: Understanding of responsive frameworks like Bootstrap.
  4. Version Control Tools: Knowledge of version control tools like Git (preferred).
  5. Programming Languages: Exposure to PHP or MySQL (a plus, not mandatory).
  6. Personal Qualities: Eagerness to learn, improve, and take constructive feedback.
  7. Soft Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
  2. Experience: Internship or academic project experience in web development is a strong advantage.
