Project Manager (Infrastructure Development)

The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful implementation of infrastructure projects across various sites. This individual will be responsible for coordinating with stakeholders, preparing progress reports, and developing detailed plans to track project progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate operating and construction goals aligned with institutional objectives.
  • Oversee on-campus projects' implementation activities and maintenance.
  • Develop, evaluate, and implement departmental policies and procedures.
  • Establish project budgets and monitor cost control, cost trending, and forecasting.
  • Ensure inspection of works at project closure and complete all documents, including as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with contractors and consultants.
  • Process contractors'/consultants' applications for payments and provide necessary materials and support.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders in carrying out responsibilities.
  • Evaluate staff safety at work, property, and existing services.

Requirements:

  • Masters/Bachelor's degree in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-10 years of project management experience in construction or maintenance, preferably in education, healthcare, research, or public health sectors.
  • Extensive knowledge of infrastructure development and practical project management skills.
  • Able to handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances/conflicts while negotiating with consultants.
  • Strong supervisory skills and team leadership qualities to lead a multidisciplinary team.

This position requires strong problem-solving skills, initiative, reliability, and maturity. The ideal candidate will have the ability to deliver effectively under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines. They must also be able to work with cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural teams both in a team setting and independently.
