Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in mechanical design, with expertise in design tools, manufacturing techniques, and product realization.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar engineering role with the ability to produce technical documentation. 3D CAD modeling and draughting skills to BS8888 (preferably in Siemens NX) are also required.
A professional with an HNC/HND or degree-level qualification in a mechanical engineering discipline or proven experience in a STEM field is preferred. Additionally, we'd like candidates with experience in stakeholder engagement, material selection, finite element analysis, presenting design solutions, managing manufactured parts, and constructing assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, manufacture, assemble, and maintain bespoke hardware for customer training.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to capture technical requirements and information.
- Select materials and manufacturing methods suitable for projects.
- Perform finite element analysis to ensure design integrity.
- Present design solutions to peers and customers.
- Manage the manufacture of engineered parts from quotation to delivery.
Requirements:
- HNC/HND or degree-level qualification in mechanical engineering or equivalent STEM experience.
- Proven experience in a similar engineering role with technical documentation skills.
- 3D CAD modeling and draughting skills to BS8888.
