Financial Specialist Job Description

Our company is seeking a highly skilled Financial Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements and reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledgers and financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable records, and cash disbursements.
  2. Financial Reporting: Prepare various financial statements and reports, including balance sheets and income statements, for use by management in assessing the financial position of the organization.
  3. Compliance: Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and Part 32 requirements.
  4. Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing, including setting up new employees in the payroll system and working with HR Department and providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll and benefits reporting.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial software and technology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Certified Public Accountant license.
