Job Description

Hussain Farmaids (Pvt) Ltd is a leading fertilizer company in Pakistan, seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Professional to join its finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining accurate financial records.

About the Role
  • Provide expert guidance on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to senior management.
  • Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent financial misstatements.
  • Supervise a team of accountants, providing training and support to ensure high-quality financial reporting.
  • Maintain relationships with external auditors, banks, and government agencies to resolve any queries or issues related to financial matters.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the preparation of trial balances, income statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
  • Oversee the processing of payroll, taxes, and other statutory payments.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including tax laws, labor laws, and securities laws.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and bank reconciliation statements.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve financial management and control.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, taxation laws, and labor laws.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
