Lead Software Engineer Position

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for mentoring team members, driving product delivery, and staying up-to-date on industry trends. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Tech Leadership: Stay current with dubizzle platform technologies and share knowledge with the team.
  2. Collaboration: Ensure delivery of high-standard software through collaboration and cross-functional teamwork.
  3. Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.
  4. Operational Management: Manage daily project aspects and scope while creating optimal working environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Open-source software development: Strong understanding of open-source software development principles (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
  • Web frameworks: Experience with web frameworks like Django, Ruby on Rails, React.js, Next.js.
  • Scalability and high-availability systems: Knowledge of scalability and high-availability systems.
  • Source control and CI/CD: Familiarity with source control, continuous integration, continuous deployment, automated testing, UML, and code quality practices.
  • Agile methodologies: Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, XP) and strong leadership skills.
