Fundraising Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fundraising Specialist to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies, build relationships with key stakeholders, and manage fundraising events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Event Planning and Management: Coordinate traditional fundraising activities such as sponsored charity events and programs, ensuring all logistical and administrative aspects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Volunteer Coordination: Recruit and manage volunteers to assist with fundraising efforts, providing clear guidance and support where necessary.
  • Sponsorship and Donations: Approach potential sponsors and donors, including local authorities, schools, universities, shops, and commercial organisations, to secure funding for our charitable initiatives.
  • Innovation and Development: Continuously brainstorm and develop new ideas for fundraising campaigns and events, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Communication and Negotiation Skills: Possess excellent communication and negotiation skills to build strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Social Media and Marketing: Effectively utilise social media platforms to promote fundraising campaigns and events, leveraging creative content and storytelling techniques to engage audiences.
  • Teamwork and Leadership: Demonstrate strong teamwork and leadership skills, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Task Management and Organisation: Proactively manage multiple tasks and responsibilities, prioritising deadlines and allocating resources efficiently.
  • Writing and Communication: Possess strong writing and communication skills, crafting compelling content to convey the value of our charitable initiatives.
