Strategic Project Leadership Opportunity

The Senior Project Manager will oversee project delivery and resource management, driving business success through strategic leadership and excellent project management skills.

This role requires a seasoned professional with expertise in project management methodologies, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leads project operations team, setting clear objectives and performance standards.
• Develops and implements project management strategies, aligning them with business goals.
• Drives continuous improvement in project delivery processes, tools, and methodologies.

Team Development:

• Mentors and develops project managers and coordinators, building a high-performing team.
• Promotes a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and professional growth.
• Ensures the selection of top talent with the help of HR and PMO.

Stakeholder Management:

• Engages with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide regular updates, and manage expectations across different project phases.
• Manages relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment of project goals and expectations.
• Leads capacity planning and workforce management initiatives.

Operational Audits:

• Ensures quality standards are met in both Agile and Waterfall projects through rigorous testing and validation processes.
• Analyzes key project documents such as the project plan, quality management plan, risk management plan, and any relevant work products.
• Checks for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
• Identifies, assesses, avoids or mitigates project risks, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and reduced impact on project budget and quality.
• Resolves project-related issues, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to remove roadblocks.
• Implements robust risk management frameworks across the project portfolio.

Visibility and Reporting:

• Fosters effective communication across teams, promoting collaboration and transparency.
• Prepares and presents detailed reports on project performance, resource utilization, and operational efficiency.

Coaching & Mentoring:

• Provides guidance and mentorship to junior project managers and team leads to enhance their skills and align with organizational goals.
• Conducts regular one-on-one sessions to address challenges, provides constructive feedback, and sets developmental goals.
• Organizes and leads training sessions or workshops to share best practices and improve team competencies.
• Identifies and nurtures high-potential team members, preparing them for future leadership roles.

Requirements

Skills:

• Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) in both Agile and Waterfall contexts.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with varying methodologies simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience in stakeholder management and client-facing roles.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex, large-scale projects.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in team development and performance management.
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, etc.).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in software project management.
• Proficiency in both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
• Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), Product Owner, or equivalent are preferred.
