Research Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support our research projects in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities. This role will involve assisting with data collection, literature reviews, and data analysis on topics related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

The ideal candidate will have recent graduate status or be currently enrolled in MS or PhD programs in Social Sciences or Management Sciences. They will also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Prior research experience and familiarity with statistical software will be considered an asset.

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Assist with data collection, literature reviews, and data analysis on topics related to DEI.
  • Research Project Support: Support ongoing research projects by organizing and maintaining research materials.
  • Communication: Contribute to the creation of reports, presentations, and research papers. Engage with students, faculty, and staff to gather insights for research.

Requirements:

  • Recent graduates or currently enrolled in MS or PhD programs in Social Sciences or Management Sciences.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.00. First semester students can also apply.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior research experience.
  • Prior experience with research methodologies and statistical software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
